PostSubject: Ever have trouble buying jeans?   Sun May 06, 2007 5:30 pm

I'm very short. 5'1. And as a result i find it a pain in the ass finding a pair of jeans that fit me well!!!

Grr....they always hang too low at the ass or when i do get a pair they get destroyed at the bottom pretty much straight away when i'm walking about.

<Sigh>

I want these but they're too damn big

you could go to decent store and ask someone to help. Im tall and curvyish so its hard for me to find jeans too. and if you have a decent pair that are just too long in the leg, get em tailored! :]]

oooh i have the same problem! im 4'9!! and im not growin anymore so good jeans, i dont know, i like american eagles "boyfriend" cut/style jeans.

i wear a size 2 short in jeans so if you dont get an (insert size number here) short then maybe you should try that.

and also, cuffing at the bottoms is a good option. i do it lots. =]

I have the issue of loving jeans when I get them and then hating them a few months down the road.

I have the opposite issue...legs are never long enough, and the butt is never big enough.

I have longs legs, so I dont bother with that, sometimes its a matter of proportion, cos Ive got some hips. otherwise, they wont fit at the thigh, or they'll be way to tight. :[[

Nearly all of the jeans I get are too big and when they are I cut the bottoms off and get someone who can use a sewing machine to sew them so they don't fray.

ah! me TOO....its not that i have particularly long legs, or that i'm unusually tall. (i'm about 5'3")

for some reason, all my jeans get awkwardly short after a washing (and i'll buy them LONG to avoid it happening!) so i pretty much don't wear jeans for that reason. that, and because they always accentuate my love-handles. attractive.

I understand the love-handles thing..LOL!

I HATE super low jeans! I'll be glad when mid-rise is back in style! That way half my ass won't hang out!

I can never find jeans that have a big enough butt, or enough thigh room.

Gah, I'm not like, over weight for my height or anything either!

Maybe I'm just picky, I dunno. I basically have two pairs of jeans, and wear one of them just about everyday.

They have a nice big hole on the inside WAY upper thigh. Haha. I need new ones. =[

The waist of my jeans always gapes because I have a fairly small waist and larger hips. i have yet to see jeans specifically made for that body type. I'm short too but i usually just hem them.

Jeans are evil. I have a reeeaaallly short waist and gigantic hips. so i have to buy jeans that fit there. So they're baggy everywhere else...and if i pull them up to my waist they're huge around the waist, so I have to wear them really low. It's confusing. I haven't ever found pants I love.

Isn't getting them tailored pretty expensive???

Plus its not just the bottom of the jeans its like the whole ass region. I must just be obscurely shaped.

It depends on where you go. There are some quite cheap places you can go.
Also it might be worth it if it means you get this like...perfect pair of jeans?

I wish I had the perfect pair of legs....because my thighs make me angry. Why do they have to be so huge?

Yeah... you and Nightmares are in the same boat.

It's probably an entirely different ballpark for me, but the best jeans tend to be just straight up levis, that or a pair from a thrift store that's already been broken in. I love thrift stores.
