PostSubject: Face deoderant?   Mon Nov 19, 2007 1:28 am

Hahahaha.
So it has been really hot lately, and at work it's REALLY, REALLY hot (hell, yesterday it was 30C and THEY HAD THE FRICKING HEATER ON ABOVE THE REGISTERS SO WE WERE DYING! until I begged my boss to turn it off), so I sweat quite a bit. And that's all good, it's just embarrassing when my face is completely wet and shiny cos of the sweat.

So... is there like... face deoderant? Or some tip that will avoid that yucky sweat? Cos I hate having to embarrassingly wipe my face so that it doesn't glisten lol.

Translucent powder generally does the trick pretty well. I do believe mine is just another name for finishing powder.

Jade, you like using Napoleon??

Get camera finish then put that on whenever you sweat. It's meant to absorb any oils or sweat on your face... I loves eeeet.

Whoops! Ignore me, I'm just blind.
Hmmmm $55. Damn they're not cheap are they? I reckon I might try that cheap Face of Australia one first and see what the dealio with that one is.

Very Happy

Thanks for the suggestion though, Tarren!

Certainly do... It's basially a powder foundation, it has awesome coverage but you can use it as a setting powder and throughout the day so as you look matt and not so shiney with sweat and whatever...

It's $55 but lasts a good long while.

haha, I use SF, but you could use revlon - it was my favourite powder because it kept me matte, but then I was like, glowwwing from within. that shit was fab. covergirl has rry good powder, too.

also, you should use a translucent powder in the morning, and then, through the day, remove oil with blotting sheets, then apply pressed powder with a mini kabuki. if you dont use blotting sheets [applying powder over oily skin will make your makeup look cakey], just grab tissues or a paper towel.

and damn $11? maybe thats jus AUS prices ;-;

translucent powder is definitely the way to go. i'd say if you get a chance to go to the bathroom, use an oil blotting paper (they sell them at bath and body works..those types of place and i think clean and clear has one, too) then a light dusting of the powder. i've been very happy with bareminerals' "mineral veil"

...wow...i just looked up and read puffy's post..lol.. : ( anyway..do it!
