| *sigh* I really want one. I don't think I'd get it for a couple of years yet and I have no idea what I'd want... I know we have a show off your tattoos but...how about more what and why you'd get something? Even if you don't want a tattoo, what would you get and why? See I have no idea...I want a wee small thing... I'm not the type to get something dedicated to my mum or something and I (thankfully) havent had any close relatives die in my life time so I couldn't have one of those... See Sam's mum is a genealogist so she does family trees and she got this huge tree up her back with 7 stars above it - one for each of her kids and they got to choose their colour and I think thats amazing! This is it if anyone is interested... I'll give you a prize if you're geeky enough to know where the tree is from But yeh I'm just interested... |

| I wanna little tiny one of like some cool symbol that I shall design. And I have no idea why. I just think it would be awesome. But I want the symbol to mean something to me. Like a big event in my life that inspired me to create the symbol like that. However, I don't think I'd ever write a lover's name on my body as a tattoo. Half the time those relationships end anyways. Maybe the tattoo just jinxes the relationship or something like that. But yeah.... I'm terrified of needles and injections and blood and pain so I'll probably be too chicken to get one anyways! And also, I always picture myself growing old and grey with a tattoo or more piercings or something and thinking OMG I'M GONNA LOOK SO WEIRD! and that puts me off. |

| god no names are bad! i hate people that do that. and i think yeh some tattoos will look bad when they get wrinkled. His mum inspected her 84yo mother to find her least wrinkled bit - the base of your back! thats why the tree is there. I like Akira's star thing. thats awesome. I think it's one of these things that you'll just know when you see a picture or something...but im not heavily into like....games or a certain book or something...like my boyfriend who wants something geeky but non-game specific, like a tiny standby button or something (which is awesome ) |

Aww haha that's so cool. Yeah, I want something smart. Something that's symbolic but it doesn't scream I LOVE MR SO AND SO haha. I don't want anything spur of the moment either. I want it to be about something I really love and it won't change. Tattoos are scary though... stuff that's permanent freaks the hell outta me. I can't believe those women who get tattoos all over their body to make them look like tigers and such. Scaryyyyyyyy. Oooh and I agree about Akira's star thing. I LOURVE how all her tattoos tie into each other through the star. Really smart thinking. |

| aww thanks ladies, you make me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. :D
The good/bad news about my hand tattoos is that by the time I'm a wee old lady they'll most likely be gone. Hand tats fade at a faster rate than most others b/c we use our hands so much and are constantly washing them (or at least should be).
Anyway like I said in the other thread I'd like to get 2 more star tats done and lately I've been thinking 'bout getting something done with Ben. I really like the idea of getting a ring tattooed but I have such small hands the detail and pain would be ridiculous. |

| I feel sad.. I'm sure I know what that tree is from, because my sister had the movie on earlier.. *sigh*
As far as my tats, yeah, I may not like them as much later in life, and I may eventually regret the one around my wrist, but still I know that I'll be able to look at them and say, 'Well, I was certainly at an interesting point in my life when I got that.' I've got plans to get a few celtic knots that are specific to me and my life right now, so I'm thinking of them as more a sort of timeline than anything. |

| That is a beautiful idea... and thats the white tree of Gondor from LotR isnīt it? Which makes it even more beautiful, as it is a symbol of life and happyness and whatnot...
Anyway, I donīt really like tatoos, but I love that one... |
