| I'm not as well-known around the forum as most girls are, and i know all these categories were old LC forum categories and have not changed ever . . . but with everyone panicking about Global Warming and tighter budgets, I feel that maybe we should have a Green/Enviroment/Help category.
All lot of people have been stepping up to the plate to raise enviroment awareness, and i feel that some people--even if they care about Earth, don't want to do anything in fear of being labeled 'tree hugger.' But, this is the Earth, a planet where even if you live in US or UK you still live on the same planet, and people who make decisions in a different continent will affect you. And, just one thing, can make a difference--at any age, any gender, or place.
I proposing that if the admins and mods want to make a new category that it can include, tips to live greener, how to go pro-green w/ a low budget, organic makeup and food, green clothing, hybrid cars, help other people (orphans, shelters), websites to help, and maybe a talking section where people can talk about big events that we can participate in, etc.
P.S. There's one tomorrow on March 29, 2007 called Earth Hour, where people turn off all their lights from 8 to 9pm to save energy, and see how important electricity is but how can it be conserved and used properly. |

| This should probably be in suggestions.
I'm all for the suject, but to be honest I don't know how many threads/posts this section would get, these sort of things usually go in o/t I think e.g. the topic about Earth Hour. |

| only ONE person can move this topic, and that's keeks.
make sure you go through the whole forum to be familiar with topics. as le'Bebs said, we have a Suggestions section for things like this.
Keeks may not be up for a full Green section; however, you can make a special topic about it in OT and we'll still be able to discuss everything green _________________

| no i dont mind moving a topic. it should be in suggestions yes.
on the basis of one suggestion, i dont think ill be creating a new forum section as there's not really any call for it. its not NEEDED. if theres particular things you wish to discuss then feel free to post it in Off Topic or if it's otherwise related eg. Links or Polls then that's perfectly welcome. Obvious posts on eco-friendly/organic clothes would go in the obvious related sections: fashion/glam. Somethings about organic food or health related ones can go in health.
I agree with Sally in the sense that I'm not sure how many posts this would get, and as we've little experience with this topic in discussion; I take that to possibly mean that the members aren't keen or don't have much to say on the matter and that backs up not getting much posting. _________________

| Jade already man a Topic on Earth Hour in Off Topic...I think we can try to do the enviro thing in OT and if it's popular, it may demand it's own section. Lets just see how we go _________________

| I was thinking, instead of just for green things it could be like, houses/decorating/waste/green.
if you wanted.
because there's often thingss to do with rooms being redecorated and storage and such. _________________ if you don't like me, or have a problem with anything i say...

| yeah, i mean, it could involve all sorts of interior design, and gardening, and eco existing, and things like that. it's just an idea, but i think it'd be nice, as alot of us are becoming the age where we're planning on moving out/living away from home etc, i htink we'll all need help with things like it. _________________ if you don't like me, or have a problem with anything i say...

| My only thing would be about the tone of the forum. I know we discuss a tonne of different stuff but I've said before about the forum and new categorys - if we had one for everything we thought of then it would just be too big and silly. im not being like "oh. no." but its like...yeh itd be nice but do we *need need need* it?
As before, I've hardly seen any eco posts or hardly any posts about rooms and homes and even then decorating and stuff = DIY/Craft type stuff anyway...so we kind of have that. Ok knitting etc but diy = do it yourself. _________________

| I agree with keeks at this stage. If it shows interest maybe, but right now it's just not popular enough. _________________
