died 10 years ago today Crying or Very sad

i wish i was a teenager when he was alive
*le sigh*

on a happier note, a collection of his best songs is out, "so real" its called. not sure whether to buy it though, seen as i have all the songs already, theyre just from sketches and grace and a few covers.

And apparently a film biography of him is to be made in cooperation with his mother. Its to be called Mystery White Boy, scheduled for release in 2008 Very Happy

I haven't heard much from him, but what I have, I like. I'll look into him a bit more tonight, I think.

I heard a recording of his on tv the other morning while I was having breakfast. It was very... haunting. He has an amazing voice.

he does indeed, three-and-a-half octave voice!!! and mad guitar skills..and his lyrics are so beautiful, particularly those about his dad.

his dad was quite famous also, Tim Buckley..he was musically better trained than jeff, he had a five octave range (completely insane..) but i never got into his music as much

my ex introduced him to me 4 years ago and i think i now own everything that has ever been recorded by him..
(oh but as a warning, never listen to it all back to back..it usually ends in alot of tears..)

Didnt want to make a new thread, but now its his 11th anniversary today. so sad.
Im so glad i didnt know/was too young to have heard of him at the time, i would have been so devastated.
sigh.
