| What kind of goops would be good to add to my hurz before blow drying? I just blow dry, do not straighten, because it looks better that way to me. I sort of need a step by step here, because here is what I do now: I add a serum to protect it from the dryer and blow dry it straight and hair spray and shine spray afterwards. It is alright, but it's hard to make it straighten out well, it's sort of wavy now. Also should I use a volume adding potion at the roots? This girl I work with said that worked for her. _________________

| do you use a straighening serum? maybe you need to try a different one or like use a round brush when you blowdry with the dryer facing down? i think _________________

| No to round brushes they are the devil, it just gets tangled. I hate them, I can get it much straighter with a normal brush. _________________

| I just use a shine serum, because all I do to my hair is blow dry [its short atm, yey]. serum will help protect your hair from being damaged, and will make it easier for your hair to get nice and sleek.
wait...I just realized you said that already. hell, you do everything I do in the morning, except I throw on a hat. haha.
hm, maybe try adding a little more serum at your roots? if that fails, try some volumizing mousse. dry shampoo also helped make my hair straighter when serum wasn't enough. _________________

| I know you didn't ask about brushes, buuuut if you're not using a paddle brush now, it's a good idea to try one out. Paddle brushes are love, they make it much easier. If you can find one with a ceramic plate in the bottom, that will hold the heat of the dryer better and will make it faster and more effective. Also, the more bristles the better, the more your hair is broken up the quicker it'll dry (and should dry more evenly, too). It doesn't make it dead straight like it would with irons, but should take most of the wave out.
As for serums... there is this really great one called Prime Time which works fu realz, my hair is curly as hell, and that paired with a blowdryer and a trusty ceramic brush makes it quite... manageable And not frizzy, which is always good.
I've never heard of volumizing stuff working for that, but you may as well give it a go! Can't lose much, if it turns out terrible there's always a hair tie
Huh, who knew I even took any of that information in during hair class o.O _________________ In the game of thrones you win or you die.

| I'm going to try the paddle brush, I don't like how straight ironed hair looks anyway, I just want it to look sort of natural but nice too. Also experimenting is fine, since I have to tie my hair up for work anyway, lol. _________________

| | How about trying those straightening ceramic brushes? They are like brushes that you like blowdry with and they are shaped like straightners and they do what the paddle brush does but smooths it more and gets all the kinks out. They were on sale at my work for lik £1.99, that's like $4 or something. |
