| I was on a quest to make lightweight but durable horns for pixies, Satyrs, and other Faery folk. While fimo/sculpey horns are easy to make, they ARE fragile, and if you make them LARGER, they get heavy. Sooooo.....here are the ones I made.
They are super lightweight, durable, flexible, and safe (no pointy tip so no worries about poking someone's eye out).

I found a tutorial that someone scanned from a magazine, and then altered it for my own use. If you can believe it, I used upholstery foam.
I hope to make hooves using a similar method as the horns. Then I can be a Satyr for Hallowe'en! Or maybe even Faery Fest if I can get my butt in gear!

| oo upholstery foam? I didnt even know that they MADE upholstery foam. now THAT is fuckin crafty.
I think I'll be Jem for halloween and wear something 80s and slutty. I cant wait.

And yeah, the upholstery foam is what is put into the cushions of a couch.

| OHH that stuff! oh hell yeah, that's super cool. at least you found a way to make it lightweight! I'd end up taking craft foam and shaping and painting it, hahaha.

There's a Pagan Spring Dance in Toronto on the 19th, so I'm hoping we can go (crossing fingers), so I'm going to make Grant some horns, too, and a pair of hooves.
