| So as I just posted in today's Happy, I get to make Katie's prom dress. I've really got to get cracking, as prom is May 7th, so once I post this I'll probably go hit a fabric store. The dress will be dark blue, with silver accents. I'll probably get something silky for it. Very much inspired by 300, as I'm sure you'll be able to tell.

| She danced around when I showed it to her, thrilled that she was going so that I could make her this dress. She's glad it's not poofy, and not toooooo girly, though I think it's the epitome of feminine. Maybe that's just me, though? Dunno.

She wanted something soft, and the weather's getting warmer so I figured satin over a knit or a cotton because it would hang better, and look more prom-like. I don't much care for silky material, but when your anti-social little sister agrees to go to prom just so you could make her dress, what do you do? I just couldn't say no to that.

| She's prancing around in it now, waiting for Kendall to get here. Unfortunately, we're going to get rain and storms tonight, so she'll have to enter and exit in a black trench coat to avoid water spots(stupid satin!), but she looks like she's having a lot of fun.
